The same flower....
This is a Spiderwort and the difference in color is due to sunlight. All of the flowers are actually blue. What a difference a little bit of sun makes.....

My daughter Kim and I are both Certified Master Gardeners and have spent the last few years creating a four season garden filled with perrenial flowers and shrubs and teeming with wildlife. This gives us a great deal of enjoyment and endless photo ops.

You don't have to tell me that! That's why I lack flowers! And oh yeah... water helps too! :)
Lol...you're right and these wouldn't do well in your shaded yard. They do like a lot of sunshine but don't require too much water, they're very hardy.
